why dowe have to live by a code being an atheist? there are no rules other than the ones the government put down that we have to abide by, otherwise your turning being an atheist into another stupid belief! thats all :) x

You don't have to live by a moral code to be an atheist. But you should live by a moral code in order to be a decent human, and atheists are humans, so atheists who want to be decent should live by a moral code.

It's odd to me that you single out government rules as the only ones you have to abide by. Do you have no personal rules? No family rules? No social rules? If you don't, then you are truly a unique individual (and, I'd guess, a lonely one).
