First off I'd like to say that I am Ashiest, but one thing that bothers me about your site is that you claim that you will send this information to my mother. Firstly, this bothers me because I strongly support keeping ones faith personal (if my mom is Christian why provoke that? what difference does it make?) and secondly it makes Atheism seem aggressive to newcomers. So I guess my question is why do you chose this approach?

I chose this approach because, frankly, it's ridiculous and therefore might generate conversation. It's also a bit of a parody of those who say that "all you need to do is believe" to be religious. Seriously, if you can freely choose what you believe about deities, that's weird to me.
